Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. Phillips County Busted Mugshots does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or use a contact form, we keep the message and the details you provide as needed to answer it. We do not disclose that correspondence outside the organization unless the law requires us to do so.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Ordinary server, analytics, and advertising systems may record basic technical information when a page loads. That information can include:
- The internet protocol address used for the visit.
- The browser name and version.
- The device type and operating system.
- The pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when one is available.
- The date and time of the request.
Cookies and Similar Storage
Cookies help show how visitors move through the site and which pages are useful. A browser can reject or delete cookies, though blocking them may change how some site or partner features work.
How Information Supports the Site
Collected information may be used for the following limited operational purposes:
- Operating the site and improving load speed.
- Sending a search request to the selected partner tool.
- Understanding which Phillips County pages visitors find useful.
- Diagnosing errors, broken links, and other technical faults.
- Displaying advertising that may reflect a visitor's interests.
Privacy Beyond This Website
Links may lead to PCSO, Logan detention, Colorado VINE, Phillips Combined Court, the Colorado Department of Corrections, or an outside search provider. Official criminal justice record access is governed in part by the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act, C.R.S. ยงยง 24-72-301 through 309, but each destination also applies its own privacy and data-handling rules once a visitor leaves this site.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to recognize activity across websites and choose targeted ads. That tracking takes place under the partner's practices, not as a Phillips County government record process.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may still be handled by a small group of services that support the site or satisfy a legal duty:
- Search partners that process a submitted query.
- Analytics providers that measure site use.
- Advertising networks that deliver ads.
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security Measures
We use standard safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No website, transmission, or internet-connected storage system can be made completely secure, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted information, they may contact us and request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the data we can identify, a visitor may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information we hold.
- Correct personal information that is wrong.
- Delete personal information where the law permits.
- Opt out of certain forms of processing.
